Dear Parents & Teachers,

Firstly we would like to say a big thank you to the committee members, event leaders, parents, teachers and staff of the school for their support, enthusiasm and generosity, with both their time and donations, which saw a fantastically fun and successful year of fund raising in 2015/2016.

Your PTA Committee

The role of the PTA is to raise money to help the School provide materials, resources and facilities for the benefit of everyone who uses the School and assist in building a community of parents and teachers. The PTA is made up of a committee of parents and teachers who meet regularly to discuss fundraising initiatives and organise events, and is supported by a team of parent-volunteers who give their time to help out at some of these events. Each form has Class Representatives for their year group

What we do

For 2015 we are forecast to raise £31,486, which will go directly to enhancing the surroundings and experiences of our children at the school.

We have been able to fund some fantastic projects with the money raised including:

  • Contribution towards non-fiction books for school library of £1,552
  • The new children’s kitchen with a PTA contribution of £6,167
  • £3,889 on School IT equipment and mini-bus
  • £2,000 on Forest School
£588 towards a science day during creativity week
    £2,500 on musical instruments
    £16,410 on swimming pool repairs
£5,000 for projector and hall screen
    School trip subsidies
  • And much more!

Goring Craft Fair 2017

How You Can Help

The more we raise, the more our children gain. Remember this is your PTA, raising funds for the children of the school, to support their education and school life in a variety of exciting and inspiring ways.

Contact your class rep or email goringpta@gmail.com to add your name to our list of parent-volunteers. Let us know if you work for a company willing to support registered charities such as ours, for example through ‘matching'. Email goringpta@gmail.com to provide us with details.

The PTA is now also accepting online donations here: https://mydonate.bt.com/charities/goringprimaryschoolpta

We are sure that you will continue to support us generously and we hope that you enjoy the calendar of events we have prepared for you in 2014/2015. We thank parents for their support in the past and look forward to this continuing in the future.

Best regards,

PTA Committee
